Artist Statement
My work begins as a single sheet of paper, carefully folded by hand and transformed through metalwork into wearable forms. As an origami artist, I explore ideas of transformation, resilience, and emotional connection through jewelry and mixed media objects.
Inspired by nature, cultural symbolism, and personal experience, I create pieces that balance delicacy with strength. Animals and organic forms frequently appear in my work, serving as visual metaphors that invite both personal and shared meaning.
Origami has been part of my creative life since childhood, and the process of folding remains central to my practice. The repetitive, meditative act of shaping paper allows me to slow down and reflect, while the addition of metal and polish preserves these fragile forms, giving them longevity and weight.
Through my work, I aim to create objects that feel intimate and expressive, pieces that invite connection, tell a story, and exist both on the body and in space.
